🎯 Your Mission: UX Design for Artboards in Andalusi

🧠 Context

Currently, users in Andalusi can only design on one canvas per project. We’re adding Artboards – a powerful new feature that lets users manage multiple canvases in a single project.

Common use cases:

  1. Creating multiple sizes for a campaign (e.g. Instagram post + story)

  2. Building storyboards or grouped social posts

  3. Designing multi-page content in one workspace

Design the UX (wireframes only) for how Artboards should work and feel inside the mobile app. This includes:

  1. ✅ Add multiple artboards in one project

  2. ✅ Switch between artboards during editin

  3. ✅ Rename, reorder, duplicate, and delete artboards

  4. ✅ Export one or all artboards

  5. ✅ Seamless UX integration into the current editor

  6. ✅ Show multi-artboard indicators in:

    1. Templates screen

    2. My Designs screen

📝 What You Should Submit

📁 A Figma file or PDF that includes:

  1. ✍️ User flows or journey maps for core actions

  2. 🧱 Wireframes only — focus on structure, logic, and usability

  3. 🗒️ UX annotations explaining your decisions

UI design is not required.
🎨 If you do choose to design high-fidelity UI or motion ideas — that’s considered a bonus.

🔍 Questions to Consider

  1. Why do users need multiple artboards?

    1. What workflows benefit from this feature?

  2. What is the MVP?

    1. Which features are essential for the first release?

    2. Which could come later (e.g., animation between artboards, links)?

  3. Where does this feature live in the app?

    1. How do users add or navigate between artboards?

    2. What’s the interaction model (tabs, swipe, drawer)?

  4. How does export work?

    1. How does the user choose to export one artboard or all?

  5. How do we show multi-artboard projects visually?

    1. In the Templates screen

    2. In the My Designs screen

🎁 Bonus Points

  1. Suggest ideas for future expansions (e.g., transitions between artboards)

  2. Share motion design concepts or clickable prototypes

  3. Consider accessibility and touch interactions

🧠 Need Inspiration?

  1. Think of Artboards as a layer between the project and the canvas

  2. Focus on clarity, mobile-first constraints, and low cognitive load

  3. Consider quick gestures, smooth transitions, and smart defaults
