You are challenged to tune the design and art for a game application that features an Escape Room, which is best suited for 3D games to provide more depth and interesting life-like challenges.

Brief:

A 3D escape room in ancient Egyptian pharaohs theme where the player gets locked and is trying to escape the room. 

Assets are provided: (Temple - Props), and you are required to tune the assets and design remaining assets. You will get access to the resources in the group to modify them. You should follow the given game story: Pharaohs Escape Room Story. The story dialog should be well made and all game should be in English 

The game should start with a main menu screen that displays the game title and logo. This screen should have options for the player to choose from, such as "Start Game", and "Options". The options screen should allow the player to adjust game settings like volume. 

The intro screen should provide background information about the game's story and setting. This can be presented through text, images, or a short animated sequence. The intro should captivate the player and set the tone for the gameplay.

The level selection screen should display a list or grid of available levels, allowing the user to choose which one they want to play.

Puzzle Design for First Two Levels: The puzzle art for the first two levels should be designed to be visually appealing and thematically consistent with the game's overall aesthetic. The art should provide visual cues and challenges that complement the gameplay mechanics, Three hints should be provided for each puzzle he can watch an ad to get a hint if he still can’t solve the puzzle then he should watch another ad to skip this puzzle. 

In addition to the main gameplay screens, the game should include informative screens that explain the controls, objectives, and any special mechanics or power-ups. These screens should be accessible from the main menu or during the game, allowing players to reference them as needed.

The game should have a variety of sound effects to enhance the user experience, including:

  • Background music to set the mood

    • In the intro and during the game and win

  • Sound effects for collecting items

  • Feedback sounds when puzzles are solved correctly or incorrectly

  • Footstep sounds to provide audio cues during gameplay

Task:

1. Game Art and Asset Design

  • Main Menu:

    • Design main menu assets (3D or adapted from existing ones) and integrate into the UX.

  • Intro Scene:

    • Create and refine intro scene assets as detailed in the story document.

  • Puzzle and Chest Design:

    • Design and modify assets for puzzles to fit the game.

    • Create a puzzle where the mummy removes a dagger from his hand.

    • Design chest openings and puzzle-solving methods.

  • Sound Design:

    • Provide all necessary sound effects and music.

2. UI-UX and Game Flow

  • 3D UX Prototype:

    • Design a simple 3D UX prototype showing layout, interactions, and game flow.

  • Player Guidance (Walkthrough):

    • Create a walkthrough to guide the player through the game.

3. Design Puzzle Mechanics and Hint System

  • Hint System:

    • Design a hint system with three hints per puzzle.

    • Players can watch ads to get hints or skip puzzles if needed.

  • Consistency:

    • Ensure game color and style are consistent and enhance the overall design.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Game should be suitable for all ages to play and understand easily

  • Providing all the required assets (models, animations and sounds)

  • Appearing the Egyptian theme (Pharaohs)

  • Output Quality, also source files must be included.

  • Unified Art style and colors.

  • No copyright infringements.

  • Screenshots of all the scenes composed from the assets you will create or choose from the provided.

  • Detailed Ux for the game.

  • Minimum acceptable score is 80 (80% of 100). First, Second, Third place will be the highest score above 80.

  • If two submissions earn the same score, the first submission will get the highest place. 

Submission Guidelines:

Final Submission (Due in Two Weeks)

  1. All Designed Assets:

    • High-quality 3D models, textures, and animations for characters, environments, and objects.

    • Finalized assets should be optimized for performance while maintaining visual fidelity.

  2. All Designed Sounds:

    • Custom sound effects and background music tailored to the game's theme.

    • Sound assets should be properly looped and synced with the game.

  3. 3D UX Prototype for Developer:

    • A simple 3D prototype that showcases the basic layout, environment, and core interactions within the game.

    • The prototype should include basic character movements, camera angles, and scene transitions to guide the developer in implementing the final UX.

  4. Dialogue Document:

    • A complete script for all in-game dialogues, including the intro and any tutorials or guides.

    • The document should include character descriptions, emotional tone, and timing for each line.

Pre-Submit (Due in One Week)

  1. Main Menu:

    • Initial design and functionality of the main menu, including options, settings, and start game features.

    • Visuals should be representative of the final game theme.

  2. Intro Sequence:

    • A rough draft or prototype of the game's intro sequence, showcasing key narrative elements and character introductions.

    • The sequence should give a clear indication of the game's setting and tone.

Final Submission (Due in Two Weeks)

  • Complete Project Submission:

    • All final assets, sounds, and the 3D UX prototype, including the pre-submitted main menu and intro.

    • Any modifications to the intro sequence should be minimal, with core gameplay and project scope unchanged.

Note: To avoid disqualification, please ensure that you submit the Pre-Submission on time. 

Note: The intro can be slightly modified after the pre-submit, but the gameplay and overall project must remain consistent with the initial description.
