🎯 Your Mission: Smart Product Bot & Inventory Workflow

Business Context:
We want to launch a conversational AI assistant that helps customers find products (like smartphones) and get notified when out-of-stock items are available again

📌 Part 1 – Product Data Flow (Scraper + DB Sync)
Objective: Build an automated workflow that:

  • Scrapes or fetches product data from Amazon (or any e-commerce site — mock if needed)

  • Extracts key product info: name, price, availability, rating, product URL

  • Saves data into a cloud database like Airtable, Supabase, or Firebase

  • Keeps the product list updated every X hours (via scheduled automation)

📌 Part 2 – Conversational Bot with AI & Logic
Objective: Set up a chatbot flow (using LLM API + logic branching) that:

  • Handles questions like:

    • “What’s the best smartphone under $500?

    • “Do you have the latest iPhone?”

    • “Compare Samsung vs OnePlus”

  • Uses your product database + LLM to generate professional, accurate answers

  • If a product is not available, collect:

    • User email

    • Product they asked for

    • Optional filters (brand, price range)

📌 Part 3 – Smart Product Alert System
Objective: Create a notification flow that:

  • Monitors the product DB for availability changes

  • If a product that a user asked for becomes available:

    • Sends them a personalized email alert (mocked or real)

    • Marks them as “notified” in the DB

  • Ensure the alert copy sounds professional and AI-enhanced

🧰 Tech Stack / Tools (Suggested, Not Fixed)

  • n8n, Make.com, Xano, Zapier, Retool, AppSmith, Flowise

  • Airtable, Supabase, Firebase, or similar

  • OpenAI GPT-4, Claude, or similar, or open-source LLMs (via API)

  • Scraper: Puppeteer, BrightData, SerpAPI, or mock JSON

📝 What to Submit

  • A video walkthrough (5–10 mins) showing your flows and explaining your logic

  • Link to your workflow(s) or exported JSONs

  • A README with:

    • Setup instructions

    • Tool choices and reasons

    • Known limitations

    • Prompt examples (for chatbot)

Already built something similar before? You can submit that as your solution — just explain how it matches the task.

📊 Evaluation Criteria

  • Workflow logic, modularity, and maintainability

  • Quality of chatbot replies (professional, useful, context-aware)

  • Use of LLMs in a real product flow

  • DB structure, extensibility, and reliability

  • Creativity in solving edge cases (e.g., no product found)
